As a parent you have the right to feel secure
about the swim school you take your child to. You and your
child must feel good about going to Baby Swim!
Different countries have different programs and rules. Check
for the following:
- that your baby swim teacher has a good and relevant education.
- that the swim school has a clear goal that you understand.
Ask what you can expect your child to learn within the next
couple of months.
- that there is a plan for what to do after the first courses.
Do they offer the possibility to continue swimming with your
child until it can swim on it’s own?
- that the baby swim lessons are performed in a calm and friendly
atmosphere.
- that groups are not too big.
- that the water temperature is minimum 32 degrees Celsius
for babies under 6 month.
- that the air is warm and not droughty.
- that you as a parent are listened to and encouraged to take
an active part in the lessons.
- that the time spent in the water is at most 30 min for children
under 6 month and at most 45 min for children between 6 month
and 2 years.
- that the swimming pool maintains good water quality and
that it is supervised by knowledgeable staff.
