Linnéa swim school

Linnéa swim school was founded in 1993 as a baby swim school. As the children grew the ages has been growing as well. Today we offer swim courses for children between 3 month and 8 years.

Every lesson is 30 min. One or two parents are with their child all the time for the child to feel confident. Only in the oldest groups the parents are not in the pool.

The lessons are kept in deep pools (110-130 cm), 34 degrees of Celsius. One teacher per group. The courses are 8 or 16 times.

We teach in Uppsala and in Stockholm, in Sweden.

Do you want to visit us or sign in your child? E-mail us: info@linnea.se or call 0046-18-18 28 30.

The Baby swim school
In the baby swim school the children are 3 month to about 2 years of age.

We teach the basic skills. The security in the water environment is the most important thing to establish for both the parents and the children. We teach the child to keep it´s breath under the water. To transfer shorter distances in the water. To turn to its back to rest and to breath is an important skill. In the last course in the Baby swim school the child learns how to get air to swim longer distances. Respect for water is as important as water joy!

The courses are: Duck, See star, Frog, Dolphin, Fish and Seal.

Every family that signs in gets the Baby swim book and the Baby swim DVD. It´s important that the parents get enough information to feel secure.

The Mini swim school
In the mini swim school the children are 2 years to about 3, 5 years.

We teach to move farther distances with more effective movements. Focus on kicks. Water safety skills are developed. The main exercises are represented by 6 animals.

The Turtle. To rest and breath on the back.

The Freestyle swim school
This is for children from about 3 years old.

Now we are more focused on strokes. We teach freestyle (crawl) first because this is the easiest way to learn how to swim. As always the curiosity and the joy of the child is the drive of learning.

It must be fun to learn how to swim!
